American Cemetary in Normandie!


A map of the coast and the positions of the Germans as we approached France's shore.


This American cemetary represented the thousands of men and women who sacrificed their lives to save a country that was in need.


Looking at the thousands of headstones that were in this cemetary made it even more real.....
.....The cost of freedom!

A fallen comrade known but to God!

Thanks Meg. I was hoping that someone had some pictures from here. This is what I think of when I hear Normandie.
We were in San Francisco a few years ago and there is an area there just north of the Golden Gate Bridge, Pt Reyes may be the name of it but it has bunkers in the hillside very much like these. The crosses give me chills....
