STORY TIME!

Hailey can now read a few books all by herself. They are beginner books with just 6-10 words on a page but she can sound out every single word by herself now! So tonight was the first time she read to her sister. I just had to take pics of this momentous occasion. It was so cute and the first time Sissy actually sat still through an entire book!

Just waiting for customers!

Hailey was watching Sissy and Seth being silly but I just love this picture of her!
So Beautiful!

Ok...does anyone else see a disaster waiting to happen? lol
I thought this was so cute!

My little Gymnast!

Well we had our very own gymnastics floor routine right here in our front yard. Sissy straightened this tarp out herself so that she could do what I thought were going to be somersalts. But Sissy surprised the heck out of us when she started doing round offs, hand stands, and awesome cart wheels. I do believe she'll be in the olympics some day!!

Even the way she stood before starting was on point!

It amazed me that she automatically knew how to do one hand and then the other. What's even more amazing is no one showed her how. Heather only joined her after she was doing them!

All she needs is her legs straight and she'll be set!

Completing a perfect cart wheel!
GO SISSY!

Sissy doing a hand stand. I definitely see an olympian in the making!
NO FEAR WHATSOEVER!

Watching Hailey and Sissy side by side was so funny. They are complete opposites when it comes to fear. Sissy has absolutely none and Hailey was so affraid of falling so she just hopped her feet over. She's like her mom that way I guess!

SLI P -N- SLIDE FUN!!

Mom and Dad had bought this slip-n-slide for when Eloise, my niece from France, was in town. Well we didn't get a chance to use them then so we broke it out this past week. It was so much fun and I enjoyed it just as much as the girls did. Having kids gives us parents an excuse to be kids ourselves every once and awhile! And we could race each other since their were three lanes. The kids got a kick out of beating me every time!

Hailey caught on really quick how to go fast and be the first to grab a flag.

She did so well teaching Sissy how to push and move with her hands.

My little goof ball!

I said GO Sissy!

On the race is on!

Hailey won everytime because I couldn't grab onto these silly slippery flags. Apparently you have to be a kid to learn this skill!

Sissy was studying the box to make sure she knew which way to go down. Too funny!

It looks like she followed instructions!

HAILEY WON!

Hailey so cheated on this one!

Snapping Beans!

I am carrying down the beloved tradition of bean snapping. Ever since I was a little girl, I would go up in the garden and pick green beans and then sit with my mom in the house and snap them . I have now taught the girls this fine art and they do extremely well with. We had a great time enjoying the weather while we were snapping!

CAMPING AT MOHICAN!

Ever since I was born, our family has taken a trip to Mohican during the summer. Of course when I moved away I missed these wonderful adventures. I am so glad we were back for this one. Everyone had a BLAST and it was so nice to visit with all of the family together! When we get together it's just so much fun and there's not telling what can happen!
I LOVE OUR FAMILY!

Go-Karts!

Another tradition while camping at Mohican is to go ride on the Go-karts. We have done this since I was probably about Sissy's age and now my girls get to do it with us! I love these special traditions we get to pass down! We had such an awesome time the best part: HAILEY AND I WON!!!
(but of course it's not about winning right?)

Here's comes Addy

Sissy wasn't to sure what to think about it but afterwards she said she really like it!
