Besides my X-mas tree I wanted to add a little more Holiday spirit to the house and this is what I came up with! I actually got this idea from my best friend Melissa who put together a gorgeous one for her home.

My homemade decoration!

The search for the perfect tree!
Ever since Hailey was born we have had a real tree.
But for the last 4 years they have come from Lowe's, since in VA, tree farms weren't really around.
Luckily, in OH, we live right down the street from one and it is the exact same tree farm we went to when I was growing up. So I thought this would be a perfect tradition to pass on. I think the kids really enjoyed looking for the perfect tree. There were so many pretty trees to choose from.
I think this one may be a little small!

This tree was a little expensive and very big!
THE PERFECT TREE!
I was showing the girls the differences in the needles of the pine trees.
The thought it was cool how some can be very prickly and others are soft.
Sissy started walking from one side of the tree farm to other and just kept saying," over here mom, over here"!
I had no idea what she was after but I knew she was on a mission.
She walked right up to a tree she spotted from far away and said, "this one mommy!"
It was the perfect tree!
Sissy has a great eye and knew exactly which one she wanted.
Hailey agreed it was a good looking tree!

The following pictures of the girls show what they did on Sat. while mommy was finishing up the tree. We just stayed in our PJs the whole day, played X-mas music and decorated.
It was so much fun!
