This was truly the most emotional part of our trip.....
visiting the beaches of Normandie.
It is here at this location in France that Thousands of Germans took control of France. Ike Eisenhauer gave the command to thousands of American soldiers to invade these beaches and save France from the Germans. We did accomplish that goal but at a very steep price!
I just loved this quote and it brought tears to my eyes as I read it. I hope that you can enlarge it to read every word that is written.

Notice the hole in the side of the hill on the left. These were the German's bunkers positioned so that no one coming from the water would be able to see them.
