It's amazing what you can make out of a huge cardboard box w/ a little imagination. Hailey supplied the imagination and I did the cutting. At first we were just going to make it a house w/ a door and a window but Hailey had the idea of cutting 3 holes in the side, which later became the top, to make skylights that she and Sissy could look out of. Then she wanted 3 corresponding holes on the side for windows. Once I cut the windows, I folded them down and thought they looked like great tables but I didn't know what I would do to keep them flat. Well Hailey who is extremely smart, thought of taking the pieces left over from cutting doors on the end, to use as legs. She explained in great detail how to cut a slit in the table to slide the leg through. And Voila....
A Diner was created!!
It also doubled as a puppet show stage. Hailey ended up using the "skylights" to put her baby dolls through and tell us stories.
WHAT A GREAT IMAGINATION!
We had so much fun on this project and it was a total joint effort!
This provided hours of fun for all of us!
